The Biggest Wardrobe in the World

Theresa Roemer a self made millionaire owns the biggest wardrobe in the world. A spiral staircase takes you up 3 floors, filled with handbags, shoes, watches, clothes, jewellery and perfume.

It is certainly larger than my 1 bedroom flat in East London. I admire Theresa, she created this space not only to keep her belongings but to hold events in the aid for charity. Carrie Bradshaw would be envious! The extravagant wardrobe cost $500,000 to build.

Party in the wardrobe? yes please!

HOBBS PREVIEW AUTUMN/WINTER 2014

I had the pleasure of attending the Hobbs press day for their Autumn/Winter 2014 collection.

Inspired by the way modern women dress today, the collection merges casual and formal wear to create imaginative creations. The colour palettes were striking, with deep chocolate, vivid reds, granite and cream. I thought each of the garments complimented another; mixing and matching to create a snazzy, contemporary look. Textures and fabrics were luxurious and enticing with cashmere-wool, leather, silk and suede.

Among the range were, a blood orange laminated tweed skirt, teamed with the zingy red teddy coat in brushed wool for when one is feeling audacious.  For a chocolate delight, a sophisticated sequinned mesh maxi skirt worked well with the lambs-wool sweater of the same colour, accompanied with the gorgeous chocolate shearling scarf.

For me the best part were the accessories, a particular stand out item for any outfit was the claret doctors tote called the Rochester which came in grey too.  An Eye-catching pony print leather hobo bag with matching over the body bag to unleash your wild side and my favourite piece of the collection were the Agatha brogues in striking bronze or silver metallic, a daring approach to the usual black.

The NW3 collection, the little sister brand to Hobbs, had a more youthful side. Tartan, leathers, paisley and florals all contributed to a selection of playful, and very British pieces. The range consisted from red duffle coats, to tartan blazers. Leather skirts partnered well with your choice of patterned cotton jumpers.

All in all, the collection would no doubt give your wardrobe a chic update, with signature elements of femininity and elegance, it won’t disappoint.
